4500 Doors: Commercial Application

Tilt-Slide

The Elements Architectural PVCu 4500 tilt-slide system is a premium door solution for spaces that do not allow for traditional in-swing doors. The unique sash design tilts and slides parallel to the fixed unit with the touch of a finger. The System 4500 tilt-slide door designs have been tested to meet the various hurricane impact protocols and provides secure ventilation.

An Intelligent Door Design

The design allows the operable sash of the door to easily tilt and smoothly slide parallel in front of the fixed side unit, not into the room. With just a simple turn of a handle, the door sash can be tilted providing secure ventilation. With another turn, the sash slides open parallel to the fixed unit, not into the room, for space-saving functionality. Available in white, beige or clay colors, the system can also be laminated with solid color or wood-grain foils. Matching windows are also available.

Compression-Seal Technology

Optimal profile design and compression-seal technology contribute to outstanding performance. This door utilizes special hardware, which actually compresses rubber seals between the frame and the sash, when the operating panel is being closed. As locking points all around the sash perimeter are engaged, an exceptional barrier to air, water and sound is created.

Accepts up to 1 3/8 in (35 mm) insulated glazing for superior energy efficiency and acoustical properties

Multi-Lock Security and Safety Features

Built-in security features make lifting or prying the sash extremely difficult when the door is closed. When ventilating in the tilt position, the sash automatically engages securing against being pulled open.

Ergonimically Shaped Aluminum Turn Handle

This handle controls every function of the door. It releases the central lock and sets off the sash. It releases the door from tilt position, sliding the sash open and closed, and it pulls the sash closed, locking it at the same time.
